Des is a British three-part television drama miniseries set in 1983. It retells the events of Dennis Nilsen who murdered 15 victims between 1978 and 1983. The series tells the story of the arrest and trial of serial killer Dennis Nilsen, known as Des, through the prism of three different men – Nilsen himself, Detective Chief Inspector Peter Jay, and biographer Brian Masters. The series explores the personal and professional consequences of coming into contact with a man like Nilsen.
